Meet Dr. Pauline Hoang
Board-Certified Naturopathic Doctor
Hi, I'm Dr. Pauline Hoang, a board-certified naturopathic doctor offering virtual health and wellness consultations.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work in many different healthcare settings — inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, and in-person care. Through these experiences, I repeatedly saw that many patients weren't lacking effort or information; they were lacking time, continuity, and a trusted partner to help guide them through their health journey.
These experiences inspired me to take the best of each setting and build a care model that feels deeply aligned with my values. While I deeply value the science of medicine, I've come to believe that healing extends beyond protocols and recommendations — it's built on trust, education, and the relationship between practitioner and patient.
In many ways, this work has become more than medicine to me. It's a privilege to be invited into such personal parts of my patients' lives, witnessing their courage and resilience even during seasons when they feel discouraged or have nearly given up hope. Walking alongside them through these moments continues to be one of the most meaningful aspects of my work.

Experience That Shapes How I Practice
A Decade of Medicine, Complex Cases & Continued Learning
I’m a board-certified naturopathic doctor trained at the National University of Natural Medicine, with more than a decade of experience across remarkably diverse areas of medicine.
My clinical background has taken me from inpatient integrative oncology and medically supervised fasting to outpatient medicine, complex chronic illness, and telehealth care. Working in these very different settings has taught me to look beyond a diagnosis, recognize patterns, and understand how seemingly unrelated symptoms may fit together.
But my education didn’t end with my degree. I’m deeply curious by nature. I read constantly, study difficult cases, collaborate with other clinicians, and continue expanding how I practice. When something doesn’t make sense, I want to understand why.
That combination of experience and curiosity is at the heart of how I practice medicine today.

Philosophy of Care
Listening First: A Philosophy Rooted in Trust
I believe the body has an incredible capacity for healing when given the right support. Symptoms are often not random — they're important clues that something deeper may be out of balance.
Over the years, I've come to appreciate that medicine isn't solely about laboratory testing and data. While these tools are incredibly valuable, some of the most meaningful insights come from listening carefully to a patient's story and asking thoughtful questions.
I've learned that details which may seem insignificant — a stressful life event, a change after pregnancy, a symptom that only occurs at a certain time of day — can sometimes be the missing pieces of the puzzle. There's an art to knowing which questions to ask, and often these conversations reveal insights that laboratory testing alone may miss.

Beyond the Practice
Outside of my practice, I'm a wife and a mother, settled in Bend, Oregon, with my husband and our two young children.
Motherhood, marriage, and the many roles we hold in life have taught me that health doesn't exist in isolation. Our relationships, responsibilities, stressors, joys, and the seasons of life we move through all have a profound impact on our well-being. These experiences have also made me a more empathetic practitioner, reminding me that healing needs to fit within the realities of everyday life.
I love finding the slow moments amid this busy season of life.

What Patients Say About Working With Dr. Hoang
“You are the first doctor to listen to me.”
Many of my patients tell me that, for the first time, they feel truly heard and understood. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or laboratory values, I take the time to understand the full picture — your story, your experiences, your concerns, and the patterns that have shaped your health over time.
Patients frequently share that they've never had a provider spend this much time listening, asking thoughtful questions, and helping them connect dots that may have been overlooked for years.
My goal is not only to help patients feel better, but to ensure they feel supported, understood, and never alone in their healing journey.
